Separator

Two and Three Phase Separator

“A cylindrical or spherical pressure vessel used to separate oil, gas and water from the total fluid stream produced by a well. Separators can be either horizontal or vertical. The two-phase type deals only with oil and gas, while the three-phase type handles oil, water and gas. Key design considerations include ensuring adequate residence time, internals like inlet diverters, vanepacks, coalescers, vortex breakers etc., and including automation features like LLC, LCV, PCV, XSV etc. for efficient operation and maintenance. ”
